i didn't play this for long and give a review just because of the first paragraph of the authors comments. (i'm always a nice person ;D)

1) the space between the bullets of the secondary weapon make it nearly impossible to hit small ships heading for you.

2) the primary weapon is also a bit difficult to use, because you have to charge it to the exactly point of the ships current position to count a hit. i'd like it more (although it would lose its aspect of being some kind of "artilerry") if you could also make a hit when the crosshair reaches a point behind the target.

so these are my clues for improvement. i'm out.

defend your floor!!!

this reminds me of my time in the student hostel (is that the right word???): defend your floor against the other creeps! just hilarious. great concept and very stylish. especially the thing to build/buy/upgrade by using a remote.

but i think i've found a bug. when i was using the machinegun the clip was full but it refused to fire. (maybe this happens for purpose to simulate a jammed ammo clip?if yes, don't mind it.) this was the only thing that sucked but i'm pretty sure you'll be able to fix it.

it's like spore ... with cars!

pretty cool, espacially the feature to share your creation with the rest of the world. though i'm not so very creative i enjoyed the thingies of other users. i hope there will be a community soon - it has the potential for that. :)

WOW!

Just like the sprite flashes where SMW meets the Matrix. Some more moves would have been nice. (I wished I could do a pile driver or grab my enemies to beat the hell out of them...) The camera (though great for its dramatic zoom ins and outs) had its problems too, so I just felt into some pits I wasn't able to see.

But great nevertheless. Maybe you make another one? I hope so! :D

oh man, when i played this game first (and actually it was the first game i was playing) i was about 12 years old.
everyone (okay just the boys...) at school was talking about it, mad about the graphics, the violence, the controls and stuff. so i got my copy of it, started playing ... and was disappointed. WHAT? YOU CALL THIS GRAPHICS?! IT'S BORING! but then my juvenile body delivered its first potion of testosterine and i got mad about it like everyone.

thanks for giving me this old feeling back. :D

good idea, but ... meh

it seems he has just a few answers, so it is impossible to start something that comes near to a real conversation. even fucking around with him isn't much fun, because he's always answering "your xxx!"

The idea is great but get a better engine. :|

Aaah yes, I forgot to fix that, thank you. That was an inside joke when we started on Edward, it was meant to be taken out. For example, if you called him a monkey he'd respond with the ever so witty answer, "You're a monkey!"... It was funny at the time, lol. So we'll fix that up in the next version. Keep an eye out for it in the future and thank you for helping improve Edward Wright!

cool game but still some room for improvement. Here some ideas.

1st.: Add a leveleditor so we can custom our own maps. (hooray!)

2nd.: Some kind of "Sandbox" mode would be funny so you can custom the number of enemies, the amount of money, etc. to play around and test some strategies.

3rd.: If you upgrade your towers it would be nice to see some visual effects beyond the stripe rankings. (Laser guns could become bigger and shoot rails of different color or the MG could get a rifle similar to a mini gun, etc.)

4th.: Add addiotional secondary weapons. For example some stuff to change the terrain so enemy units become slower, suffer damage over time or get a lower armour level, when they pass an effected area. Another idea would be to add secondary weapons that have a cooldown, so you can use the more often.

5th.: Please make it possible to reapair your base. It's always frustrating, when a boss breaks through and you have only the half of your life left just because you've made a little mistake.

6th.: Add some "passive" towers which just improve your attacking towers by higher their rate of fire, their range, etc.

Ok, I'm out. Great game and defenitely one of the bests out there. Good work!

missed chance

the bachgrounds were kind of glitchy, the enemies moved random, so the fights were boring or annoying and the whole thing just felt wrong while playing. the only "good" thing was that it is a real 3d game - but without any innovating aspects beyond it, it's just "nothing too new or interesting". >:(

Well, this time the gameplay did suffer since i was trying to innovate with graphics at the same time. Now with the 3d under my belt ill focus more on the details you mentioned in ANdagel 2. Sandy 3D has a ton of cool features i didnt explore and ill be looking into them more.
