serious bug

if you upgrade your archers with triple shot, the arrows spawn but don't move, rendering this type of unit completely useless.

otherwise: great potencial (especially the upgrade system) but poorly executed. overall too easy and too buggy.

Vitapoly responds:

you are right! I should have replayed it after porting it to mobile screen format; it introduced tons of bugs~ They are fixed now and the game will actually end!

sorry that is say so...

but this tutorial is quite useless. why make a tutorial about "techniques" that are so basic that you don't need a tutorial at all to figure them out? i mean it is like making a tutorial about how to breath. and not only that: the tweening-tut is wrong or at least incomplete. you forgot to mention that you have to convert your own drawings to symbols to make it work, while "shape tweening" just works with your own drawings that must not be converted. and what's with the button-tutorial? the action script code is useless because flash adds them automatically when you choose to create a button out off a drawing.

so all in all: very bad and very useless.

LucasRoberts responds:

Thank you, this was just requested by a far away friend who was just learning the basics.

playing for hours now...

and still haven't seen the last boss. biggest and most complex game in the history of newgrounds. lol. seriously, it's great and just my type of humor. could need medals though.

imjeffhip responds:

can't tell if you reviewed the wrong game or not

Smells like Nietzsche...

To proclaim your free will you have to be able to affirm every moment of your life and wish that it will recur for evermore - including all the mistakes you made.

raitendo responds:

in the words of God, "Nietzsche is dead"

sigh

as if there wouldn't already be enough of "how to create buttons" tutorials...

Joeboe1998 responds:

You know what? Fuck you.

thehehe...

the strips are hilarious because the really intresting part is the beginning (not the end) and how it turns out to become a FUCK!-moment.

have you ever thought about making it into a web comic? if yes, please pm me, because i'd like to see more of these strips.

10/10 for the original idea!

HolyKonni responds:

Thanks! I know, the challenging thing was to make a good beginning part so people could laugh later when he actually died. Nice that you liked it.

BEST. GAME. EVER.

finally a mix of my two favourite types of games. I can't tell you how happy i am to play it. the graphics could be better, the sounds either and it would be a nice idea if you could achieve combos.

oh, and by the way: if you want to make money, copyright the idea and sell it to nintendo. this game would perfectly fit to the ds.

lazypeongames responds:

Glad you enjoyed :) If you have an iPod Touch or iPhone, keep an eye out -- I have some great ideas for bringing this (and similar games) to mobile.

wow, just wow.

nice war simulator with very well done graphics and a large pool of usefull and interesting units.

the only two things i could think to improve would be a feature that when a turret or tower - or any other unit that has to be placed by hand on the battlefield - is ready to drop a small window or signal would appear that tells you that the structure is complete. the other improvement would be that the current battlefield would give different types of units bonuses or penalties.

here some examples:

#1 infantry: a rain forrest could give the infantry a health boost because the terrain allows them to take cover, while the desert would give them a penalty on health for that it makes it difficult to hide from enemy shells.

#2 artillery: the rain forrest could give artillery units a penalty on speed because the muddy terrain impedes their improvement, while mountain-like terrain could give them a bonus on range for it allows them to take advantage of higher grounds.

#3 aricraft: any terrain with forests could give them a penalty on damage against land based units. against infantry the penalty would be higher than against artillery because for smaller units it is easier to take cover in such enviorments. vice versa they would gain the same but as bonuses on plain battlefield because the enviorement negates any chance to hide from attacks from above.

and yeah, one last thing but that goes to all who use the z-key to execute an action. please make it possible to use instead the y-key. i'm coming from germany and on our keyboards the z-key is at yours y-key's position. in this game it is not so neccesary because you just use the mentioned key for fast scrolling but nevertheless: it would just be make the whole game more comfortable to play for users from other regions.

so all in all: awesome game. i'm prettyy sure it will be on frontpage soon.

belugerin responds:

Really interesting comment, I will back with your feedback, please stay tune for the next update. Thanks. (UPDATED, Now your feedback on the game. Hope enjoy it!)

i'm a weasel.

what do you think?

Kyaztro responds:

Pop goes the weasel?

good idea, but ... meh

it seems he has just a few answers, so it is impossible to start something that comes near to a real conversation. even fucking around with him isn't much fun, because he's always answering "your xxx!"

The idea is great but get a better engine. :|

Lockdude responds:

Aaah yes, I forgot to fix that, thank you. That was an inside joke when we started on Edward, it was meant to be taken out. For example, if you called him a monkey he'd respond with the ever so witty answer, "You're a monkey!"... It was funny at the time, lol. So we'll fix that up in the next version. Keep an eye out for it in the future and thank you for helping improve Edward Wright!

My butt hurts and it's your fault!
