really nice fun shooter

it's a pretty sweet game but there are a few problems. the first are the grenades which are dropped a second after i deployed them so hitting a target by flying by was unnecessary tricky. and one thing that was really annoying were the lags in the later levels: bullets stayed in mid air, i lost the control over my mecha, enemy targets didn't get killed, etc. you should really fix that cause it ruins the game at all.

so keept it up and grats for the front page.

my new IDOL...

couldn't imagine that the first one could be improved and topped. but you guys made it - in an excellent way. new types of blocks and idols with different behaviours. and even the puzzles changed from the former "simple" destroying the current totem to a new grade of challenge and creativity!

all in all: brain teasing and fun. keep it up!

hmmm...

this game is - for a flash game - a real nice simultion. i liked the feature that you have a different button to start/stop and speed/slow your engine. nice. the radius of the helicopter's fire was also nice.

what i didn't like was, that when you land beyond a drop zone you explode immediately. that was a bit frustrating because i missed the home base by a few pixles and crashed.

the music got also a bit too repetetive after a while. (thx for the mute button :P)

and finally an idea for improvement: if the enemy could fire homing missles and you could drop flares to evade them, the battle would get more intensive.

so all in all: really nice simulation.

nice

This game is really addictive and fun but it can get frustrating at the same point.

Sometimes it turns out in the middle of a level that you have already spend to much moves so it is practical impossible to beat the current board. at this point all you can do is to make your remaining moves and then start over again - all over again. and that's frustrating. you should - if you would be encouraged enough to work on a two years old project - add at least some kind of extra lifes or something to eliminate this problem.

original

very simple but clever. once you get it it gets unbelievable addicting.

one of the more original tutorials...

this thing does almost exactly what it promises: gives you the AS to create some shiny (but not really awesome) effects with ease.

thx for that and make more of them.

missed chance

all in all i have to agree with a review below (forgot the user's name). the review is not the place to flame the game's creator. you can use PM for that. in a review you should talk about the game instead - and that's what i'm doing.

the game itself is a nice idea. to put a political comment in a flash game should come more often, because even people not interested in politics will spend some time to participate in the discussion - and all that by simply playing. good idea.

but to the game itself: i know the game is supposed to be satirical (i read an interview the author gave to a site in the internet). the bad thing is that the satire isn't actual satirical: serious and funny at the same time, by reflecting the concrete situation and turn them into unintended meanings. most of the jokes are just to plain to laugh about them. they should be more original. (stanley kubrick made a great movie, called "dr. strangelove" one of the best examples of political humor.)

the game play was a bit to plain too. it's quite easy to kill more then 800 palestinans by simply building 3 rocket bases and 1 HQ. invent the faster build feature, call the USA for money and lunch the rockets. this mustn't get boring, but the game gives to less feedback to keep your attention focused. you should make more things like the bonus points for hitting civil structures. (one really bold idea would be to get bonus points for actually hitting the enemy.)

one thing completely missing are some informations about the Hamas. okay the lunch some missles but what and who they are stays unclear. that gives you the feeling that Israel is the bad guy (and that's one of the main reason that most of the reviewers are pissed, i think...) you should change that. for example you could add a Hamas guy who reads non-existing lines of the Qu'ran. (like "my edition of the Qu'ran says... [funny comment]) that would underline the satiric intention by giving a deeper view of the happenings.

you should also change the title: "raid" is most often used by medias like Al Jazeera.

so all in all: a nice little game that could really get awesome by making the jokes more funny. but the music was great. (sounded so peacefull and relaxing)

Deli-cat!

It's almost sick how much fun it is to klick the mouse. Very pretty graphics and it has a dress up game too. Just what you need to kill some time (...and cats)

GREAT!

the fighting system (taking trenches) gives a nice original touch to it. the battles were dramatic too (a tank is heading forwards. will i be able to hold the line? go support fire, go! --- the tank is down! all men out of the trenches! no, machine gunners! RETREAT!)

the last word puts us to the points of improvement.

#1: you should be able to fall back, for the tides may turn bad when your troops storm forwards but then run into (just spawned) enemy fire and you have to wait for other units while the enemy takes the ground. okay, that really represents the situation of the battlefields in europe of the early 19th centure and makes the battles more intense but also a bit frustrating.

#2: why not add flame throwers? flame throwers were used in WW I especially to clear trenches. so why not add them? would make the whole thing of taking trenches just even more dramatic.

wow, just wow.

nice war simulator with very well done graphics and a large pool of usefull and interesting units.

the only two things i could think to improve would be a feature that when a turret or tower - or any other unit that has to be placed by hand on the battlefield - is ready to drop a small window or signal would appear that tells you that the structure is complete. the other improvement would be that the current battlefield would give different types of units bonuses or penalties.

here some examples:

#1 infantry: a rain forrest could give the infantry a health boost because the terrain allows them to take cover, while the desert would give them a penalty on health for that it makes it difficult to hide from enemy shells.

#2 artillery: the rain forrest could give artillery units a penalty on speed because the muddy terrain impedes their improvement, while mountain-like terrain could give them a bonus on range for it allows them to take advantage of higher grounds.

#3 aricraft: any terrain with forests could give them a penalty on damage against land based units. against infantry the penalty would be higher than against artillery because for smaller units it is easier to take cover in such enviorments. vice versa they would gain the same but as bonuses on plain battlefield because the enviorement negates any chance to hide from attacks from above.

and yeah, one last thing but that goes to all who use the z-key to execute an action. please make it possible to use instead the y-key. i'm coming from germany and on our keyboards the z-key is at yours y-key's position. in this game it is not so neccesary because you just use the mentioned key for fast scrolling but nevertheless: it would just be make the whole game more comfortable to play for users from other regions.

so all in all: awesome game. i'm prettyy sure it will be on frontpage soon.
